We have had our meetings, and discussed all of the rules. Now it's time to fish. Our first tournament will be on Sunday April 7th. A Split tournament held at Concord Pond and Hearns Pond.

 We held our first tournament of the year on Sunday April 7th a split tournament held at both Concord Pond and Hearns Pond. I wasn't able to make this tournament so I can't tell you anything about the weather or fishing conditions, but I can tell you that Sean Grizzel won the tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 3 lbs. 14 oz. and Dave Lank caught the Lunker Of The Day with a fish weighing in at 1 lbs. 14 oz. Congratulations Sean and Dave.

 

 

 We held our second tournament of the year on Sunday April 21st. This was the second half of the Split held at both Concord Pond and Hearns Pond. Once again, I was unable to make this tournament, so I cannot tell you what the weather or fishing conditions were. I can tell you that Matt Dougherty won this tournament with 2 fish weighing in at 4 lbs. 5 oz. Matt also caught the Lunker Of The Day with a nice fish weighing in at 3 lbs. 4 oz.  Congratulations Matt.

 

 We held our third tournament of the year on Sunday May 5th. at Millsboro Pond. There was a good turnout as 11 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was not too bad. It was partly cloudy and the temps ranged from the low 40's to the low 60's, and the wind was blowing pretty good. The fishing was pretty good. Seven anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and three were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Ray Klingerman won the tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. Ray also caught the Lunker of the day with a nice fish weighing in at 2 lbs. 13 oz. Congratulations Ray.

 

 We held our fourth tournament of the year on Sunday May 19th. at Garrison Lake. There was a good turnout as 10 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was pretty nasty. It was cloudy all day and the temps ranged from the high 50's to the high 60's,there were spotty, misty, showers, and the wind was blowing pretty good. The fishing was pretty good. Six anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and four were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Frank Darwicki III won the tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 6 lbs. 6 oz. Jack McDermott  caught the Lunker of the day with a nice fish weighing in at 3 lbs. 2 oz. Congratulations Frank and Jack.

 We held our fifth tournament of the year on Sunday June 2nd. It was Tri-Pond tournament held on Wyoming, Mcginnis, and Mccaulleys Ponds. There was a good turnout as 13 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was pretty nice, the temps ranged from the low 70's to the high 80's and the wind was blowing at a real good clip for the entire day. The fishing was pretty good. Eleven anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and eight were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Jeff Chinski won the overall tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. Jeff also caught the Lunker of the Day with a nice fish weighing in at 3 lbs. 4 oz. Jack McDermott was the Mcginnis Pond winner with a three fish limit weighing in at 5 lbs. 6 oz. and a lunker weighing 2 lbs. 6 oz. and Dave Lank was the Mccaulleys Pond winner with a limit weighing 4 lbs. 10 oz. and a lunker weighing 2 lbs. 4 oz. Congratulations to Jeff, Jack, and Dave.

 We held our sixth tournament of the year on Sunday June 16th. It was the second segment of our Tri-Pond tournament held on Wyoming, Mcginnis, and Mccaulleys Ponds. There was a good turnout as 11 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was pretty nice, the temps ranged from the high 60's to the mid 80's and the wind was pretty light. The fishing was pretty good. Nine anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and six were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Dave Lank won the overall tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 6 lbs. 11 oz. Dave also caught the Lunker at Mcginnis Pond with a nice fish weighing in at 2 lbs. 15 oz. Jack McDermott was the Mccaulleys Pond winner with a three fish limit weighing in at 5 lbs. 1 oz. and a lunker weighing 1 lbs. 12 oz. and Steve Gondek was the Wyoming Pond winner with 2 Fish, weighing 6 lbs.1 oz. and a beautiful fish which was the Wyoming Pond Lunker, and Lunker of the Day weighing 5 lbs.1 oz. Congratulations to Dave, Jack, and Steve.

 We held our seventh tournament of the year on Sunday June 30 th. It was the third and final segment of our Tri-Pond tournament held on Wyoming, Mcginnis, and Mccaulleys Ponds but, since Wyoming was too low, the members that were supposed to fish there, fished at Garrison's Lake instead. There was a good turnout as 14 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was pretty nice, the temps ranged from the mid 70's to the high 80's and the wind was pretty light, and there were occasional light showers. The fishing was very good. Twelve  anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and eight were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Dave Lank won the overall tournament (fishing at Garrison's Lake) with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. Sean Grizzel caught the Lunker at Garrison's Lake with a nice fish weighing in at 2 lbs. 4 oz. Ray Klingerman was the Mccaulleys Pond winner with a three fish limit weighing in at 2 lbs. 14 oz. and a lunker weighing 1 lbs. 14 oz. and Frank Darwicki III won at Mcginnis with a 3 fish limit weighing 7 lbs. 1 oz. and Matt Dougherty caught the Lunker there, (which was also the Lunker of the Day), with a nice fish weighing 3 lbs. 1 oz. Congratulations to everyone.

 

      After taking the month of July off, we held our eighth tournament of the year on Sunday Aug. 4th. It was held on Noxontown Pond. There was a good turnout as 11 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was pretty nice, the temps ranged from the low 60's to the mid 80's but the wind picked up right after sunrise and was blowing at about 15-20 mph. The fishing was pretty tough, eight anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and only three were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Frank Darwicki III won the tournament with a 3 Fish limit weighing 4 lbs 4 oz. Frank also caught the Lunker of the Day with a fish weighing in at 1 lbs. 13 oz. Congratulations Frank. Also, the largest fish of the day was caught by Junior Member Dave Lank Jr. who weighed in a nice fish weighing 2 lbs. 2 oz. Way to go Dave.

    We held our ninth tournament of the year on Sunday Aug. 18th. It was a split tournament held on both Killens Pond and Mudmill Pond. There was a light turnout as only 9 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was pretty lousy, the temps ranged from the low 60's to the upper 70's and there were rain showers, off and on, throughout the entire morning, and the wind was light. The fishing was pretty tough, six anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and only four were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Steve Gondek won the overall tourney, (fishing on Killen's pond), with a nice 3 fish limit weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. Dave Lank caught the Lunker of the Day, (also at Killen's pond), with a nice fish weighing 3 lbs. 12 oz. Sean Grizzel won at Mudmill Pond with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 4 lbs. 10 oz. Sean also caught the lunker at Mudmill with a fish weighing in at 1 lbs. 15 oz. Congratulations guys.

 

 

 We held our tenth tournament of the year on Sunday Sept. 8th. It was the second half of a split tournament held on both Killens Pond and Mudmill Pond. There was a light turnout as only 8 anglers turned up to fish. The weather turned out to be pretty nice, after a cloudy start, with a light shower, it turned out to be sunny with a light wind, and the temps ranged from the low 50's to the low 80's.The fishing was pretty tough, six anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and only four were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Bill Wolford won the overall tourney, (fishing on Mudmill pond), with a nice 3 fish limit weighing 6 lbs. 5 oz. Bill also caught the Lunker of the Day, (also at Mudmill pond), with a nice fish weighing 2 lbs. 11 oz. Rick Lank won at Killen's Pond with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 5 lbs. 2 oz. Jack Mcdermott caught the lunker at Killen's with a fish weighing in at 2 lbs. 8 oz. Congratulations guys.

 We held our eleventh tournament of the year on Sunday Sept. 22nd. on the Nanticoke River. There was a light turnout as only 7 anglers turned up to fish. I'm not sure how the weather conditions were, as I was unable to make the tourney.The fishing was pretty good for a river tourney, all seven anglers brought fish to the weigh in, and two were able to catch the 3 fish limit. Jeff Williamson won the tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. and Jeff and Dave Lank tied for the Lunker of the Day with a pair of fish, both weighing in at 3 lbs. 11 oz. Congratulations Jeff and Dave.

 We held our twelfth, and final regular tournament of the year on Sunday Oct. 6th. at Noxontown Pond. The turnout was the best of the year, 14 anglers turned up to fish. The weather was fantastic, the temps ranged from the low 60's to the mid 80's, it was partly cloudy with a light wind. The fishing was pretty good, 13 of the 14 anglers brought at least one fish to the weigh in, and 4 were able to catch a 3 fish limit. Bill Wolford won the tournament with a very impressive 3 Fish limit weighing in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. Rick Lank caught the Lunker of the Day with a very nice fish weighing 4 lbs. 1 oz. Congratulations Bill and Rick, also, congratulations to Dave Lank, who finished, (after the four lowest tournament scores were removed), in first place for Angler of the Year, with a total of 257 points. Congratulations Dave. Congrats also go out to Dave Lank Jr., he won our, first ever, Junior Angler of the Year with a total of 49 points, GREAT JOB David.
